Almost every CES (the world’s annual premium electronics show in Las Vegas), you get a lot of weird tech products. Many of them are impressive but too expensive, some are impractical, and a few are downright weird. However, Roborock Saros Rover is the one product that piqued my interests as I read all the launches in CES 2026.
As its maker claims, the Saros Rover is the world’s first two-wheel-leg robotic vacuum cleaner. Each wheel-leg provides reach, lift, height and imitates human mobility. Thus, the robot cleaner is able to raise and lower each of the wheel-legs independently, execute small jumps, turns, stops and other directional changes while maintaining a level body as the ground changes. No more getting stuck when trying to move pass the kitchen hump.

For those who live in multi-storey houses, the Saros Rover is a heaven-send, as it is able to clean each one of the steps of a staircase. No more having to buy a robotic vacuum cleaner for each storey. Moreover, the Saros Rover is able to tackle several types of non-flat surfaces, such as carpeted staircases with bullnose front according to Roborock. Other surfaces that it is able to tackle, include slopes as well as complex multi-level rooms requiring height and power.

As of all things these days, Saros Rover uses artificial intelligence along with its motion sensors and 3-D spatial information to understand its environment and makes its wheel-legs react with precision.
Most importantly, this is not a concept. The Saros Rover is an actual product in development. But the launch date is unconfirmed. I can’t wait for the Saros Rover to rove around my house!
