Nostalgia is in, as evident by Fujifilm’s instax mini Evo Cinema. It is a 3-in-1 hybrid instant camera that blends still photography, video, and instant printing into one device.
The instax mini Evo Cinema is able to capture short videos (up to 15 seconds) and “hand them over” as instax prints. Each print can include a QR code that links back to the original video, letting the recipient relive the moment digitally while keeping a physical photo in hand. It is a clever fusion of analog charm and modern sharing. Fujifilm says that the clips will only be stored for two years. But the clips can be saved locally to a micro-SD card.

One of the camera’s most interesting features is the new Eras Dial. With 10 era-inspired effects, ranging from 1960s 8mm film vibes to more modern digital looks, and 10 adjustable levels per effect, users get up to 100 creative expressions. These effects don’t just change the visuals, they also influence audio and even add nostalgic sounds during recording, enhancing the time‑travel feel.
Design-wise, the instax mini Evo Cinema leans heavily into retro inspiration. Its vertical grip, tactile dials, and film‑winding–style print lever echo Fujifilm’s classic FUJICA Single‑8 cameras from the 1960s. However, it comes with a 1.54-inch LCD as well as an optional viewfinder attachment for your shooting pleasure.

Paired with a dedicated smartphone app, the camera works as a 3‑in‑1 device – video camera, still camera, and smartphone printer. You can edit clips, combine videos, add cinematic openings or endings, and even create movie‑poster‑style instax prints.
Availability in Singapore has yet to be confirmed, but pricing will be at S$529. Looks pretty affordable to me!
