The highlight of this Pro model is the upgraded 10,000mAh BoostCharge power bank. While the previous one looks like any conventional power bank, the Pro’s power bank has been completely redesigned.

The new power bank doubles as a kickstand for the Switch 2. So, all you need to do is to mount the Switch 2 on it via the USB-C port and you can game on the go with the Joy-Cons. You can also easily remove the battery from the case.

While the previous ENA001 model delivered up to 20W output, the Pro steps up to 30W fast charging. This extra wattage is a welcome upgrade, allowing you to charge the Switch 2 quickly even while running demanding games at maximum screen brightness. It holds enough juice to recharge the console roughly 1.5 times.

On the go, you can leave the console in the case and be assured it will be fully charged at the end of a commute or flight. A pass-through USB-C port in front of the power bank lets you charge the stored console without opening the case. You can also use this port to charge your smartphone. Like its sibling, the power bank includes a crisp digital LCD display showing exact battery percentages rather than basic LED dots.

In terms of protection, Belkin replaced the woven fabric exterior of its sibling with a moulded hard shell on the Pro case. It offers significantly higher impact resistance against accidental drops, bumps, and pressure inside a packed backpack.

Despite the ruggedised shell, the interior remains gentle on the console. Lined with brushed anti-scratch fabric, it keeps the Switch 2’s screen and Joy-Cons snug. The heavy-duty double zipper feels smooth and solid, while the reinforced carrying strap provides a confident grip when carrying the case by hand.

Indeed, every inch of the interior is well thought out. Similar to its sibling, there is a game storage flap that holds up to 12 game cards neatly in place. But it also serves as a soft protective screen cover when the case is zipped shut.

A top mesh pocket holds your charging cables, earbuds, or cleaning cloth without pressing down on the Joy-Cons. Another nice touch is the hidden AirTag compartment, tucked discreetly inside the lining, for you to track down your gaming console via Apple’s Find My feature.

On the downside, this new charging case is S$100 more expensive than its sibling. It is also slightly larger and heavier. Not to mention, it doesn’t even come with a USB-C cable that its cheaper sibling have. But I guess you can’t have the best of everything.

VERDICT: Apart from some slight downers, the Belkin Gaming Charging Case Pro for Nintendo Switch 2 sets the benchmark for the all-in-one travel gear for your Switch 2, offering top-tier protection, 30W charging speed, and clever modularity.

Combining Qualcomm’s brand-new second-generation Snapdragon X2 Elite silicon with their renowned Lumina OLED displays, this 14-inch detachable 2-in-1 is built explicitly for creative professionals who treat the world as their office. But can a 9mm-thin Windows tablet truly shoulder heavy creative workloads, or does its hybrid form factor trip it up? Let’s find out.

The very first thing you notice when unboxing the ProArt PZ14 is just how incredibly slim it feels. At a mere 9mm thick (which I have trouble photographing) and tipping the scales at just 0.79 kg for the tablet alone, it slips into a backpack almost unnoticed.

Asus has treated the aluminium chassis with a sleek “Nano Black” anodised finish. Not only does it give the machine a stealthy, premium look, but it uses an active silane resin coating that legitimately repels fingerprint smudges. A massive plus for a device meant to be handled constantly. Despite its thin profile, it boasts military-grade durability and an IP52 rating, meaning it can withstand the occasional dust patch or accidental splash during outdoor shoots.

The box comes generously packed with the magnetic stand cover, a detachable Bluetooth keyboard with a precision trackpad, and the ASUS Pen 3.0 stylus. You can seamlessly transition from editing a photo series in Laptop Mode to sketching out concepts or illustrations freely in Tablet Mode. I might not be an artist, but sketching with the stylus is as smooth as silk on the display.

If there is a crown jewel on the PZ14, it is unequivocally the display. Asus has packed a gorgeous 14-inch, 3K (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) Lumina Pro OLED touchscreen into the frame. For photojournalists and graphic designers, colour accuracy is of paramount importance, and this screen hits it out of the park. It covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, is PANTONE validated, and delivers an incredible 1,000 nits of peak HDR brightness.

Working under the harsh afternoon glare at a local café is no issue at all, thanks to an effective anti-reflective coating. Furthermore, the display’s smooth 144Hz variable refresh rate makes scrolling, sketching, and scrubbing through timelines feel incredibly responsive.

Under the hood lies Qualcomm’s next-gen ARM architecture—the 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite chip. Paired with a massive 32GB of RAM, this processor handles daily productivity tasks with zero hesitation.

On paper, the 2-in-1’s Hexagon NPU pushes a massive 80 TOPS of AI performance, opening up efficient on-device capabilities. In apps like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, complex tasks like subject masking or generative fills happen almost instantly. Great for content creators or photographers working on the go.

Thermal management is handled by a single-fan chassis equipped with a smart 0 dB ambient cooling mode. During light photo organisation or document editing, the device runs completely silent. Even under heavier image processing loads, fan noise remains remarkably quiet.

Battery life is another massive win. The integrated 75Wh battery comfortably sailed through roughly 13 hours of continuous real-world creative use, meaning you can confidently leave the 68W USB-C charger at home for day trips.

No device is entirely perfect, and the PZ14’s biggest compromise stems from its hybrid nature. Because the keyboard attaches via a flat magnetic connector rather than a rigid physical hinge, typing on your lap can feel awkward and unstable.

The keyboard needs to sit completely flat on surfaces (not ideal for your lap), and the keys – while tactile with 1.7mm travel – can feel slightly cramped if you are typing long articles all day. While Windows 11 has made major strides in touchscreen optimisation, it still occasionally feels clunky to navigate solely with fingers compared to iPadOS.

Port selection is also minimal due to the thin chassis: you get two USB4 Type-C ports and an SD Express 7.0 card reader. While the SD reader is a massive boon for photographers transferring RAW files on the go, you will still need a dongle if you rely heavily on legacy USB-A gear.

VERDICT: The Asus ProArt PZ14 (HT7407) is a beautifully realised piece of hardware that showcases exactly where the future of mobile creation is heading. At S$4,499, it is undeniably a premium investment tool.

If you are a writer or an office executive who needs to type thousands of words a day on a lap, a traditional laptop might suit you better. However, if you are an artist, photographer, or visual creator looking for an incredibly bright, highly accurate digital canvas that packs desktop-grade AI muscle into a sub-1kg frame, the ASUS ProArt PZ14 stands out as a phenomenal companion.

Welcome to Singapore’s “Middle Lane Syndrome”, as I called it. It is a baffling daily phenomenon where heavy, slow-moving vehicles and casual cruisers alike converge in the centre, effectively turning a three-lane expressway into a congested two-lane bottleneck.

But this isn’t just bad driving etiquette; middle lane hogging has wider implications (see this story). Of course, this is not a phenomenon unique to Singapore. Other countries have the same issue, but probably not as prevalent from what I observed during my travels. Yet, if you sit back and look at the bigger picture, the middle lane is the perfect metaphor for the broader Singaporean psyche.

The “Kiasi” Comfort Zone
At its core, middle-lane hogging is driven by a deeply ingrained sense of “kiasi” (Hokkien for afraid to die), the quintessential Singaporean fear of losing out, or worse, getting penalised.

The right lane is too high-pressure; tailgaters will flash their high beams the millisecond you drop below the speed limit. Meanwhile, the leftmost lane is perceived as an absolute minefield. Drivers, even truckers, actively avoid it because they are terrified of getting trapped behind a merging bus, a container truck, or forced into an unexpected exit.

Compounding this is a distinct lack of situational awareness regarding bus lane hours. I observe many Singaporean drivers suffer from a phantom fear of the solid yellow line. Even at 11PM on a Saturday night, or on expressways where standard bus lane restrictions do not even apply, drivers will completely shun the left lane out of a paranoid, knee-jerk reflex that they might get slapped with a fine.

So, what do we do? We choose the perceived safety of the middle. It is the ultimate comfort zone. This behaviour, I feel, perfectly mirrors how many Singaporeans navigate life and career paths. We are conditioned to avoid the extremes.

We don’t want to be at the absolute back, but we are often too terrified of the exposure that comes with being at the very front. The middle lane represents the path of least resistance, a place where you can coast along without having to make difficult decisions, read the changing signs around you, or take bold risks. It is precisely why thinking out of the box is so rare in Singapore. I mean, when you are perfectly comfortable in the middle, why bother looking for a new route?

The Illusion of Convenience
Of course, defenders of the middle lane will offer seemingly practical justifications. “It makes it easier to overtake if someone slows down,” they will say, or “It gives me the flexibility to change to the right lane whenever I need to”.

Reality is actually quite different, as the shared article above suggests. When slow-moving vehicles hog the centre lane, it creates a dangerous ripple effect. Instead of a smooth flow of traffic, it forces faster, impatient drivers to weave erratically between lanes, fuelling road rage and aggressive behaviour.

Furthermore, by rendering the left lane useless, we are actively wasting infrastructure. We build expansive, multi-lane highways only to voluntarily reduce them to two functional lanes because we refuse to spread out. It is counter-intuitive, inefficient, and entirely self-inflicted.

Finding Speed in the Slow Lane
If we want to fix our expressways and by extension, our rigid mindset; we will need to learn to adapt. This is especially so given the continued onslaught of AI. Even government jobs are not the iron rice bowls they used to be (as some ex-GovTech people will attest).

Drivers need to overcome the stigma of the left lane. It isn’t a lane of shame for the slow or broken down; it is a vital part of the highway ecosystem. In fact, as any seasoned driver will tell you, because everyone is so busy crowding the middle, the leftmost lane might sometimes be the fastest, clearest run on the entire road. In fact, I have been using the “slow” lane quite often to overtake these middle lane hoggers.

Sometimes, stepping out of the crowd and embracing the lane everyone else is avoiding might just be the only way to actually get ahead. It’s time to leave the comfort of the middle lane behind – both on the tarmac and in life.

The G316 X 98 utilises a 98% form factor layout, which means it retains the indispensable (for some) number pad for your spreadsheet duties while cutting down on peripheral width by removing dedicated keys like Home, End, and Page Up (though these remain accessible via Fn shortcuts). Weighing in at 880g, it feels solid on the desk despite its predominantly plastic construction. While the plastic casing doesn’t scream ultra-premium, it feels remarkably sturdy and helps keep the price tag grounded.

My review unit came finished in a clean, minimalist white, which looks fantastic next to modern PC setups. If you opt for the alternative black version, you’ll notice a stealthy appearance where the keycap prints are invisible until the keyboard is powered up and illuminated. Running across the top length of the chassis is an interactive LIGHTSYNC RGB light bar boasting 30 customised lighting zones that react beautifully to your inputs, giving it a distinct cyberpunk flair.

For competitive gamers, fret not. Performance is where the G316 X 98 shines. It is packed with an elite, near-instantaneous 8,000 Hz polling rate (0.125 ms report rate). In fast-paced shooters, every single keypress registers instantly, giving you a distinct, lag-free edge.

Under the hood, Logitech highlights a multi-layer snap-fit gasket design optimised for sound and feel. It comes prebuilt with double-shot PBT keycaps and your choice of either linear or tactile mechanical switches. The linear switches feature a 1.9mm actuation distance (40g force), while the tactile variant acts at 2.2mm (55g force).

But the real star of the show (to me at least, even though a tad gimmicky) is the built-in retro dot-matrix LED display nestled next to a tactile multi-function control dial. Pressing and holding the dial for 1.5 seconds lets you cycle through four distinct adjustment modes: Volume, Keyboard Brightness, Report Rate, and Media Player controls. The dot-matrix display animates playfully to give you an instant visual cue of your exact settings, which is a brilliant, character-filled design choice.

Logitech has also added a clever ergonomic touch at the bottom. Instead of traditional flip-out plastic feet, the keyboard features swappable corner rubber pads. Reorienting them allows you to easily tilt the keyboard between a flat 4-degree or a steeper 8-degree typing angle. Considering you will always keep your preferred typing angle, this is a nice touch.

Additionally, next to the dot-matrix display sits a physical Game Mode switch. Tapping this instantly disables the Windows key (or any other custom keybinds you set up via software) to ensure zero accidental interruptions during intense matches.

The review unit, which came equipped with the linear switches, yields a genuinely pleasant typing experience. The gasket-mounted layers effectively dampen harsh vibrations, delivering a satisfying, acoustics-heavy “thocky” click sound that enthusiast keyboard builders love.

The keypress feel is a little firmer than what you would find on standard gaming linear switches, which actually makes the entire board feel far more robust under your fingertips. But I think it is also loud enough to completely irritate your co-workers if you bring it into an office.

If you happen to find the stock switches not to your liking, or need to change to quiet switches to appease your colleagues, Logitech has built this with complete creative freedom in mind. The board is full-key hot-swappable and features standard cross-hatch stems. You can easily pull out the stock switches and pop in your own custom variants down the road.

To unlock the board’s full capabilities, you’ll want to fire up Logitech’s G HUB software. The application remains a cinch to use with its clean, intuitive user interface. Through G HUB, you can remap any key assignments, create macros, and customise the 30-zone light bar and per-key RGB backlighting. While you can spend hours designing custom light animations, the pre-loaded lighting presets are honestly good enough for most.

On the downside, it is strictly a wired keyboard. It connects via a detachable 1.8m USB-C to USB-A cable. The included cable feels a bit cheap and plain for a gaming setup; I would have preferred a nicer braided or coiled cable to help reduce desk clutter.

In addition, the plastic build of this keyboard might not appeal to keyboard traditionalists. Not to mention, the 98% layout might need sometime to get used to for those who have been using 100% keyboards. Personally, I prefer 75% keyboards.

VERDICT: At S$139, the Logitech G316 X 98 is an incredibly compelling buy. It brilliantly democratises premium enthusiast features, such as hot-swappable switches, gasket mounts, and distinct “thocky” acoustics while marrying them with top-tier 8,000Hz gaming performance. Of course, it has its downers. But for a sub-$140 daily driver that handles high-tier gaming and heavy productivity with equal aplomb, it’s a stellar, character-rich addition to any desktop setup.

Previously, I reviewed the Logitech G309 LIGHTSPEED, which I thought was the “perfect” wireless gaming mouse for the masses back then. But the G304 X might just take over the throne.

Like the G309, this gaming mouse comes in a symmetrical “egg” shape. So it doesn’t matter whether you are a claw or fingertip gripper. Or if you simply prefer a smaller, agile mouse that you can easily toss into a laptop bag, you will feel right at home.

The big news is the weight distribution. By swapping out an AA battery compartment for a built-in rechargeable internal battery and trimming the fat on the chassis, Logitech dropped the weight down to a stunning 59g. The “lightweight-ness” allows the G304 X to be snappy, effortless, and much less fatiguing during long sessions.

In addition, the G304 X has a translucent patch on top where a minimalist splash of RGB shines through, giving it a clean, modern minimalistic aesthetic without screaming “hardcore gamer”. It supports Logitech’s LIGHTSYNC RGB via G Hub, so you can ensure your entire Logitech suite of devices “flashes” in the same way.

Under the hood, Logitech packed their updated HERO 44K sensor, pushing specs up to 44,000 DPI and 678 IPS tracking. Let’s be completely honest: no one actually plays at 44,000 DPI. It is a massive spec-sheet number meant for marketing, but what it does mean in practice is that the sensor is incredibly efficient, pixel-precise, and perfectly stable. Whether I was working through precise photo editing or playing fast-paced Diablo 4 dungeon runs, tracking was flawless. Crucially, the mouse now features three options of connectivity:

• LIGHTSPEED Wireless: The lag-free 2.4GHz connection using the included dongle. (It supports an upgrade to an 8,000 Hz polling rate if you buy the separate PRO Wireless Receiver, though the stock 1,000 Hz is more than enough for 99% of users.)
• Bluetooth: A massive addition for productivity. You can toggle over to Bluetooth to save battery while replying to emails on a laptop, saving the LIGHTSPEED connection for your gaming PC setup.
• USB-C: If you prefer, you can use the mouse the wired way via a USB-C cable. It also charges the mouse, offering up to 130 hours of battery life (on a full charge).

No mid-range mouse is without its quirks, and the G304 X has two specific areas that feel like a missed opportunity: the clicks and the skates. The main mouse buttons are clean and tactical, though they sound a bit hollow. The side buttons, however, feel slightly mushy with a bit too much pre-travel. They are serviceable, but they lack that premium, crisp snap found on Logitech’s pricier flagship models.

The bigger culprit is the stock PTFE feet (skates). Out of the box, they have a tendency to catch slightly against cloth mouse pads, creating a faint scratching sound and adding unnecessary resistance. Given that this is supposed to be a “SUPERLIGHT” mouse meant to glide effortlessly, the friction from the skates holds it back. If you are serious about a breezy glide, you will likely find yourself wanting to swap them out for third-party aftermarket dot skates.

VERDICT: If you already love the classic “egg” shape and want a lighter, wire-free desktop setup without breaking the bank, the Logitech G304 X SUPERLIGHT is a no-brainer upgrade. Priced at S$119, it has everything for a mid-range gaming mouse: superb performance, featherweight build, USB-C charging, Bluetooth flexibility, and a stellar battery life. Just be prepared to potentially buy a cheap pair of aftermarket skates if you want that perfect, friction-free glide.
