Compared to the previous Benfei laptop stand I reviewed, this laptop stand takes up less table top space. It does so by having USB hub with all the ports on both sides of its support arm.

On the right side of the support arm, you will find the built-in USB-C cable (to be connected to your laptop) and a Gigabit Ethernet port. On the other side, there are two USB-A ports, one USB-C port and one USB-C 100W power delivery (PD) port.

The laptop stand comes with a built-in cable that connects to your laptop. So you never have to worry about losing this cable. To use the laptop stand with your monitor and laptop, first connect your monitor to the stand via a HDMI cable, plug a charging cable to its PD port, then all you need to do is to place your laptop on the platform and plug in the built-in USB-C cable. And you are ready to rock. I also managed to plug my keyboard to the USB-A port to complete the setup.

Not to mention, the laptop stand looks great in terms of design. The triangular holes on the platform offers both ventilation and good looks. Its sleek, minimalist aluminium build blends nicely into any modern workspace and sits well with my MacBook Pro as well as other premium laptops. From the base to support arm, it also feels very sturdy, easily supporting my laptop without any wobble.

On the downside, the stand does not swivel. This limits flexibility if you like adjusting your screen angle or sharing your display with someone next to you. Also, while the stand is sturdy, the stiff hinge makes height and tilt adjustments harder than expected. Once you find the right position it stays put (which is good), but getting it there takes more effort than it should.

But for only S$64.30 (usually less with discounts), I doubt you can complain that much. Some USB-C hubs cost more than that and you don’t even get a laptop stand.

VERDICT: If you are looking for a budget‑friendly, well-built laptop stand with docking capabilities, this laptop stand is a great option. It is ideal for anyone who values a clean setup, extra ports, and solid construction, especially if you are the kind that rarely repositioning your laptop.

This laptop stand seems to be designed with Mac users in mind, featuring a sleek gunmetal finish that complements Apple’s aesthetic. The hinge is solid and sturdy, made from durable aluminum. It can easily accommodate laptops up to 18 inches in size, including heavier gaming laptops.

However, the sturdy construction makes the hinge a bit stiff, requiring some effort to adjust to your desired angle. While the stand allows for height and tilt adjustments, it lacks 360-degree rotation.

The base is thoughtfully designed, albeit with some quirks. On the bottom right of the base is a wireless charging pad, while the KVM switch is located on the bottom left. Four USB 3.0 ports are positioned in front of the KVM switch. On the left side of the base, you’ll find a USB-C power delivery (PD) port and an HDMI port for PC1.

There’s also a hole in the middle of the base where additional ports are hidden: a USB-C port for PC1, a USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI port for PC2. While hiding the ports helps with cable management, the placement of the main PD and HDMI ports on the side rather than the back adds to desktop clutter. Rear placement may have been a better choice.

I will highly recommend adjusting the stand to your preferred height and viewing angle before connecting any cables. Otherwise, you risk tilting or even dropping your laptop during setup.

To test the USB hub and KVM switch, I connected a USB receiver for my Razer keyboard and mouse. Out of the box, the laptop stand includes a USB-C-to-USB-C cable and a USB-A-to-USB-A cable, but you’ll need your own USB-C charger and USB-C cable to connect to the USB-C PD port. The included manual is basic, explaining only what each port does, so you’ll need to figure out your configuration preferences on your own.

To connect my MacBook Pro as PC1, I used the included USB-C-to-USB-C cable. This setup allowed me to control my MacBook Pro peripherals while also using an external display. For PC2 (a Huawei Windows laptop), I connected the USB-A-to-USB-A cable. Switching between the two devices using the KVM switch was seamless, and the peripherals worked flawlessly on both. However, the external display wasn’t detected when the Huawei laptop was set as PC2. When I reversed the roles (using the Huawei laptop as PC1), the display was detected. This suggests this laptop stand seems to favour Macs.

The wireless charging pad is a useful addition, helping free up desk space. That said, charging speeds are slow compared to dedicated wireless chargers, particularly for iPhones that are limited to 7.5W. Nonetheless, it’s a handy feature to have.

VERDICT: At just over S$70, the Benfei Laptop Stand with Docking Station, KVM Switch, and Wireless Charger (Model: 000366grey) offers excellent value for money. With extra USB ports, wireless charging, seamless connectivity, and a KVM switch, it’s a versatile addition to any workspace—especially for Mac users.
