Logitech launches Mac-centric keyboard and mouse with MX Mechanical Mini for Mac and MX Master 3S for Mac

Logitech always has a knack of creating peripherals that are optimised for Mac. Currently, there are the MX Keys (and Keys Mini) for Mac keyboards as well as the MX Anywhere 3 for Mac and MX Master 3 for Mac mice.

Having used the “normal” and “For Mac” previously, I can vouch for the more stable Bluetooth connectivity with these Mac-optimised peripherals compared to the normal ones. Now, Logitech is adding the MX Mechanical Mini and MX Master 3S to the “For Mac” line-up.

In fact, the MX Mechanical Mini for Mac (S$259, get it at Shopee) is Logitech’s first mechanical keyboard optimised for Mac. It comes in pale gray, which is practically white with some shades of gray.

While the normal one comes in three types of switches, the MX Mechanical Mini for Mac features only the Tactile Quiet low-profile switches for tactile typing response. It still comes with Smart Backlighting, which adjusts brightness according to the ambient lighting conditions. The keyboard also features a dedicated Mac layout with only the Option and Command keys, leaving out the Windows and Alt graphics on the keycaps. There is also the ability to customise shortcuts to speed up your creativity with Logi Options+ software.

If you are looking for a bigger keyboard, you will be disappointed. There is no Mac version for the full-sized MX Mechanical (see my review) keyboard.

To complement the MX Mechanical Mini for Mac keyboard, you have to get the Logitech MX Master 3S for Mac (S$169, get it at Shopee) productivity mouse. Again, it looks similar to the “normal” MX Master 3S (see my review). The new Mac mouse is available in two colours of space gray and pale gray, and sculpted with a tilt angle for a natural hand (right hand only) position allowing for all-day comfort.

The MX Master 3S for Mac mouse can track virtually anywhere – even on glass – thanks to its speedy, precise 8K DPI sensor. Unlike the MX Master 3 for Mac, this mouse features Quiet Clicks that deliver the same satisfying feeling with 90% less click noise than its predecessor. It also has the fast and precise scrolling with its MagSpeed Electromagnetic wheel.

Both MX Mechanical Mini for Mac and MX Master 3S can connect up to three different Apple devices on macOS, iOS and iPadOS. You can easily toggle through your Apple devices using the Easy-Switch button on these peripherals.
