Leica has launched a news lens, Noctilux-M 35 f/1.2 ASPH, which is the first Noctilux M-Lens in the German company’s history to feature a 35 mm focal length.
With a maximum aperture of up to f/0.95, Leica Noctilux lenses are considered to be the epitome of optical development. They deliver images with an unrivalled visual aesthetic. However, the Noctilux series of lenses has always been in the focal lengths of 50mm or 70mm. But now, with the new Noctilux-M 35 f/1.2 ASPH, there’s finally a wide-angle lens in this series.

The optical design of Noctilux-M 35 f/1.2 ASPH comprises ten lenses in five groups, including three aspherical lenses. A floating element ensures consistent imaging performance over the entire focusing range. The integrated lens hood reduces glare and reflections, ensuring high contrast and brilliant colour rendering, even with backlighting.
Despite its superb optical quality, it measures just 5cm in length with a diameter of 6.5cm, and weighs a mere 416g. In short, it is remarkably compact.
The Leica Noctilux-M 35 f/1.2 ASPH will be available worldwide today at a recommended retail price of S$13,700.
