Logitech’s flagship productivity mouse finally gets an update with MX Master 4

I have been using Logitech MX Master 3 and 3S for a while. And they have been my favourite productivity mice since 2019. Finally, its successor is here with the MX Master 4.

The two new highlight features of the MX Master 4 are haptic feedback and Actions Ring. The design of the new mouse doesn’t seem to change drastically, but the thumb rest area houses the Haptic Sense Panel that gives you haptic feedback on specific actions, shortcuts and notifications.

On the other hand, the Action Ring is a virtual overlay of eight options that appear on the screen when you press the same Haptic Sense panel. It gives you quick access to customised shortcuts to your most used tasks. Both new features will require the Logi Option+ software.

The MX Master 4 is rated to last for 70 days on a full charge via its USB-C port. It is also said to have 90% less click noise than the MX Master 3 as well as improved stain resistance. However, it retains Master MX 3S’ 8K dpi sensor that works on virtually any surface, including glass.

Available in two colours of pale-grey and graphite, the Logitech MX Master 4 retails at S$199 (get it at Shopee and Lazada). Hope I get a review unit to test it out soon!
