Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, a triple foldable smartphone that marks the South Korea chaebol’s boldest leap into next‑generation mobile design. When folded, it has 6.5-inch display. But it unfolds twice to reveal an expansive 10‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the largest ever on a Galaxy phone.
When fully unfolded, the 10‑inch display operates like three 6.5‑inch smartphone screens working side‑by‑side, enabling seamless multitasking with multi‑window and a redesigned taskbar. It is also the first phone to offer standalone Samsung DeX, allowing up to four virtual desktops and support for a full desktop‑style workflow with peripherals and extended dual‑screen mode.
Despite its size when open, the Galaxy Z TriFold maintains an impressively slim profile, measuring just 3.9 mm at its thinnest point. The multi‑fold structure is supported by Samsung’s most advanced Armor FlexHinge system, featuring two differently sized hinges engineered to fold smoothly while keeping the device portable and durable. Reinforced display layers, titanium hinge housing, and an Advanced Armor Aluminum frame round out a design built for longevity.

Powering the TriFold is a customised Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, paired with a three‑cell 5,600 mAh battery that is the largest in any Samsung foldable. The device includes a 200-megapixel main camera, 45W fast charging, and a bright display with up to 2600 nits on the cover screen.
Samsung said it is integrating the device deeply with Galaxy AI (artificial intelligence), including enhanced creative tools like Generative Edit, Sketch to Image, improved split‑view editing, and expanded multimodal features through Gemini Live. Users can ask contextual questions, analyse what’s on screen, or receive real‑time recommendations, to leverage AI in ways that feel native to the large display.
For entertainment, the TriFold’s tablet‑sized screen offers a cinematic viewing experience with minimised creasing and smooth 120 Hz visuals. And when the show is over, it folds neatly back into a pocket‑friendly slab.

The Galaxy Z TriFold launches first in Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by releases in countries such as US, China, UAE and Singapore. The triple smartphone will start retailing in Singapore on December 19, but pricing is yet to be confirmed.
The only triple foldable smartphone available in Singapore is Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, which retails at S$3,498.
