Singapore Gundam fans rejoice! Singapore’s very own Gundam official store, THE GUNDAM BASE SINGAPORE, will open its door tomorrow (3 Feb 2026) at Jewel Changi Airport (#04-219). It will open from 10am to 10pm daily.
For the uninitiated, THE GUNDAM BASE is Bandai Namco’s official Gundam model kit retail concept, offering fans access to authentic products and a brand experience that goes beyond traditional retail. The main objective of the store is to provide fans with an immersive Gundam and Gunpla
(Gundam plastic models) experience.
Spanning 1,915 sq feet or roughly the size of two four-room HDB flats, THE GUNDAM BASE SINGAPORE has a wide range of Gundam merchandise, interactive build experiences and Gundam model exhibits.
A 1.8 metre RX-78 [Gundam BASE Color] Gundam statue welcomes everyone to the store, while a Photo Booth lets fans take photos with a large blueprint of fan-favourite RX-78-2 Gundam. In addition, THE GUNDAM BASE SINGAPORE will feature a dedicated workshop area, designed especially for newcomers who are interested in trying out Gunpla building for the first time.
During the weekends, this model-building workshop will be free to the public with families welcomed to make it a bonding event. However, the details of the weekend workshops are still being finalised. My guess is the next few weekends will probably see a lot of crowd, and the store probably doesn’t want the place to be jammed up.
