Action camera maker Insta360 has launched a new modular action camera called the ONE RS. It uses a three-part design consisting of a battery, a processor Core and three quick-swapping camera modules. This enables the ONE RS to switch between a traditional action camera and a 360-degree action camera.
The ONE RS features a new high-performance 4K Boost camera module with a 1/2-inch 48-megapixel (MP) image sensor for detailed wide-angle 4K 60fps videos and 4MP photos, while a powerful processor Core offers great in-camera stabilisation and crisp audio.
If you want to capture everything around you, you can get the 360 camera module that lets you capture everything in 360-degree 5.7K footage. And if you prefer even better stills, there is a camera module with a large 1-inch image sensor.
A camera is nothing without an image processor and the ONE RS’s new powerful processor Core offers the company’s proprietary FlowState stabilisation for smoother videos as well as 360 horizon levelling to ensure your videos always stay level. Other improvements include additional microphone for better audio recording, 50% faster Wi-Fi and a quick menu for easier access to preset shooting modes.
In addition, the ONE RS is water-resistant down to 4.8m (or 16 feet). Thus, you can bring this action camera wherever you go.
The Insta360 ONE RS is available in Singapore at S$768 for the twin edition (includes 4K Boost lens and 360 lens). It is also available in 4K Edition (S$448) and 1-inch Edition (S$768).
