Republic of Gamers (ROG), by ASUS, is introducing the the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) to Singapore. It is a dual-screen laptop featuring top-tier specifications such as the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX mobile processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU. It is also armed with 64GB of RAM and two 2TB flash SSDs.
According to its maker, this is the world’s most powerful dual-screen gaming laptop. It features a brand-new Nebula Display – a 16-inch 16:10 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) IPS display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz for 4K resolution. At full HD resolution, the refresh rate can go up to 240Hz. Plus, the Nebula Display comes with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 500-nits brightness, 3ms response time and Dolby Vision HDR for games and movies.
Furthermore, the Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) has a second screen below the laptop’s main display – ROG ScreenPad Plus. It is a 14.1-inch 4K display with touchscreen and stylus support. As such, you can look for tips and tricks when you are stuck somewhere in Elden Ring or Cyberpunk 2077. Or you can simply have more screen real estate when editing photos or coding your apps.
When the main lid is raised to open the machine, the ROG ScreenPad Plus automatically rises and tilts up at a 13-degree angle for maximum ergonomics and airflow. At full height, the two screens will sit flush with each other to create a nearly bezel-free viewing experience.
To cool the monstrous power this laptop has, ASUS has equipped it with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal. Sounds impressive but complicated? Basically, it is a material that conducts heat 17 times better than traditional thermal pastes. ASUS says this allow the laptop to run 15°C cooler than its predecessors.
The ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650RX-LB213W) will be retailing at a whopping $7,998 (no surprises) and will be available at ASUS Online Store and all authorised retailers.
