CapitaLand launches its first 24-hour Metaverse party

CapitaLand will become the first Singapore mall operator to throw a virtual bash tomorrow (June 19) at 6pm. It will last for 24 hours till Monday (June 20) 5pm. Presented by DBS in collaboration with Bandwagon Labs, this first-of-its-kind experimental party will send CapitaLand straight into the Metaverse.

Known as the CapitaVerse on Decentraland, it opens a whole new dimension of multiverse offerings. Using your Metaverse avatar, you can explore four interactive and immersive levels. There will be live music performances, brand discovery docks, CapitaVerse-exclusive Aura Wearable NFT as well as virtual hunts with attractive real-life prizes to grab.

You can get your bearings at the navigational dashboard located in the illumi-kinetic lounge on Level 1. Hop into one of two portals to teleport to Levels 2 and 3 or head to the portal in the lawn that will bring you to Level 4.

First though, you probably want to doll up your Decentraland avatar by wrapping it with a complimentary CapitaVerse Aura wearables (only 1,500 available) from 6pm onwards tomorrow at Level 3. DBS cardholders will enjoy an hour early access before CapitaVerse opens to the public, as well as having first dibs on the CapitaVerse-exclusive Aura wearables limited to the first 2,000 DBS cardholders.

Not to mention, you can customise your avatar’s clothes and accessories using other Decentraland wearables. And flaunt your avatar on Instagram by tagging @CapitaLandMallsSG and stand a chance to win S$50 of eCapitaVoucher.

You can enter The Checkerboard Lab on Level 2 where you collect your Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAP) NFT at the POAP dispenser. The POAP is a cryptographic record of your experiences which will be stored in your MetaMask wallet. This is also a free digital wallet recommended for storing the POAP, prizes and rewards.

You can preview some of adidas’ Originals drops, such as the light purple ADI2000 (above), at Level 3. Plus, not only can y ou interact with the 3D live product displays and you can seamlessly click through to a website to make the purchase. Also on Level 3, you can enjoy Universal Studios Singapore experience at the White Space Station.

Finally, you can head up to Level 4, the Rooftop viewing gallery where the party is. Throughout the 24 hour event, you can groove to amazing beats by Zouk Group’s DJs Ghetto, Hong and Jeremy Boon.

There will also be hourly virtual hunts during 5pm-9pm on June 19 and 9am-5pm on June 20. During these hunts, you have to collect all five brand badges peppered throughout the event site within the hour and stand a chance to redeem exclusive real-life swag including prizes from adidas, Universal Studios Singapore tickets and eCapitaVouchers, worth over S$17,000.
