Ray-Ban Meta is expanding its smart glasses lineup with its sleekest optical frames yet. The new Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2) are engineered specifically for prescription wearers (like myself!).

The new Blayzer and Scriber Optics frames are slimmer and lighter than their predecessors, engineered for all-day wear. Key design upgrades include:
- Interchangeable nose pads for a customisable fit, with multiple options included in each box to prevent pinching or slipping
- Overextension hinges offering an additional 10° of rotation for greater flexibility and comfort
- Adjustable temple tips that can be shaped to better fit individual head contours
Both models support a wide prescription range, making them accessible to more users. Improved power efficiency also delivers 8 to 10 hours of runtime, designed to last from morning to night. A new dedicated action button gives wearers quicker and easier access to features. With a single press, users can activate Meta AI, trigger personalised shortcuts, and capture photos or videos from their point of view.

Beyond hands-free photo and video recording, wearers can listen to music and podcasts on Spotify or Amazon Music, make calls and send messages, and translate conversations in real time.
Meanwhile, across the broader Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) range, Meta AI continues to evolve. New capabilities include Live Translation in French, Italian, Portuguese, German and Spanish, with Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and Arabic coming soon. Other features include hands-free food logging and nutrition tracking via voice or photo prompts, as well as message summarisation to recap missed conversations.

From 6 May 2026, both Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) Blayzer and Scriber Optics (Gen 2) will be available at Ray-Ban stores, EssilorLuxottica retail outlets, including Spectacle Hub, and selected optical retail partner stores across Singapore. Both are priced from S$699 and comes in four different colours.

To mark the launch, a dedicated Ray-Ban Meta pop-up will be held along Orchard Road, outside Mandarin Gallery, from 6 to 17 May 2026, operating daily from 10am to 10pm. Visitors can explore the full Ray-Ban Meta collection and enjoy complimentary custom engraving on their Ray-Ban Meta cases.
