In the ever-crowded landscape of portable batteries, standing out usually requires a gimmick. But for those deeply entrenched in the Apple ecosystem like myself, the holy grail isn’t flashy RGB lighting or transparent plastic casings, it is the elimination of cable clutter. Enter the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Power Bank 10K with Apple Watch Charger (BPD012fq). It’s a mouthful of a name, but it might just be the most practical portable battery I’ve packed into my everyday bag this year.

At 265 grams, it has a solid, reassuring heft. It’s covered in a clean, matte rubberised finish that does a great job of resisting fingerprint grease. But the real design wins are in the details. Belkin has cleverly tucked a 21cm braided USB-C cable right into the side of the casing, so you’re never left scrambling for a wire. They’ve also swapped out blinking LED dots for a proper digital display that tells you exactly how much juice you have left. Not to mention, it comes with the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) so you can have a peace of mind when you fly to China.

The star feature, though, is the flip-up Apple Watch charging module. Unlike older power banks where your watch had to lie flat and would easily slide off if you bumped the nightstand, this puck hinges upward. Your watch sits securely in Nightstand mode while it juices up.
Performance-wise, this bank punches above its weight. It delivers a maximum output of 45W via Power Delivery (PD). That’s enough to fast-charge an iPad, revive a Nintendo Switch, or even trickle-charge a MacBook Air in a pinch. If you’re charging the phone and watch at the same time, it intelligently splits the power – giving 40W to the iPhone and 5W to the Apple Watch. Plus, you can charge the power bank itself, your iPhone (10W) and Apple Watch (5W) simultaneously via its USB-C port from a power outlet. Great way to charge everything overnight during your travels.

In my tests, the Apple Watch fast-charging works exactly as advertised, taking my Apple Watch Ultra 2 from 20% to 80% in around 45 minutes. The 10,000mAh battery is said to give you about 1.7 full charges for an iPhone 16 Pro according to its maker. In my tests, the power bank took my iPhone 17 Pro Max from 80% to full in an hour with 88% juice left in its bank.
On the downside, there’s no MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging for your phone here, so your smartphones still need to plug into the USB-C cable. It can also get a little warm if you’re pushing it hard by charging your iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously. The rubberised finish picks up a fair bit of dirt and lint. And at S$179, it is definitely not cheap.
VERDICT: If you don’t own an Apple Watch, you definitely will pass on this. You can find many 10,000mAh power banks for much cheaper. But if you’re fully entrenched in the Apple ecosystem and want to streamline your travel setup, the convenience here is worth every cent. It’s smart, self-contained, and earns a permanent spot in my travel bag.
