In its first in-person event (Lenovo Experiential Day 2022) for almost two years, Chinese tech giant Lenovo yesterday showcased its Workplace Solutions portfolio to help businesses and chief information officers adapt to the hybrid work era, brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
These solutions include Workspace Booking and Workplace Analytics. Workspace Booking is a scheduling software offering real-time visibility on office occupancy enabling employers to manage capacity better. It also helps employees book facilities quickly to save time as well as improves contact tracing with automated post-event reporting. On the other hand, Workplace Analytics provides real-time insights on office space usage, based on non-invasive data from heat and motion sensors, via a dashboard.
In addition, Lenovo’s Digital Signage is a content management system that turns displays and signages at high-traffic locales into rich multimedia screens into timely updates for employees. Lenovo also has the Smart Locker – a flexible self-service storage service that allows workers to store, pick and drop off important assets securely anytime with minimal fuss.
Finally, Lenovo’s Smart Collaboration all-in-one meeting room solution, comprising easy-to-use video conferencing software and integrated devices, allows easy scaling and offers great security protected by ThinkShield.
At the same time, Lenovo also shows off its ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses. This pair of augmented reality (AR) smart glasses is powered by Lenovo’s flexible enterprise XR software platform. For example, Micron’s engineers are using the smart glasses to quickly troubleshoot machinery with remote guidance and keep production going during the pandemic.
