Sonos’ new Ray compact soundbar is ideal for small homes

With our HDB flats getting smaller and worldwide living rooms shrinking, many might not want to get a soundbar for their TVs. Audio brand Sonos realises this and has launched a new compact soundbar Ray.

With a footprint only slightly bigger than a full-size keyboard, the Sonos Ray is able to fit in easily into any top or shelf of your TV console. It is also an ideal companion for your gaming consoles. Weighing only 1.95kg, you can easily move it around to whichever location you prefer in your house.

Despite its lightweight and compact size, the Ray comes with four Class-D digital amplifiers, two powerful tweeters, two centred mid-woofers and a bass reflex system. The result is clear highs, faithful reproduction of mids and solid bass.

The Sonos Ray has been specially designed with forward-facing audio components to avoid any sound interference regardless how you place the soundbar.

Of course, with the Sonos app, you can easily adjust the bass, treble as well as activate Trueplay. With Trueplay, it measures the acoustics of the room Ray resides and fine tunes the soundbar accordingly for optimal audio output. Apart from Wi-Fi, the Sonos Ray also supports Apple AirPlay 2, optical and Ethernet connectivity.

Coming in black and white, the Sonos Ray will be available in Singapore from June 24 at a price of S$529. If you are interested, you can pre-order Ray at TC Acoustics from today onwards.
