Apple Watch Series 8 rumoured to sport new flat-display design

Last year, Apple Watch Series 7 was rumoured to feature a new design with a flat display and flat sides. That did not happen, as we only got a new Apple Watch with thinner bezels with similar design to the Series 6.

This week, serial Apple product leaker Jon Prosser – in his Youtube channel – cited ShrimpApplePro’s claims that there will be a flat front glass display for the Apple Watch Series 8 coming up later this year.

In a tweet, ShrimpApplePro – another Apple product leaker – said that his sources told him that there is a high chance that there is a flat front glass display for Apple Watch Series 8. But he does not know anything about the watch’s redesign or the number of models yet.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, there would be three new models of Apple Watch this year. They are Apple Watch Series 8, a new Apple Watch SE and a rugged Apple Watch designed for extreme sports. This is something that has been corroborated by well-known Apple analyst Ming-chi Kuo.

In addition, the Apple Watch Series 8 is rumoured to come with new health features such as body temperature tracking, improved activity tracking and even blood glucose monitoring.
