German premium photography equipment maker Leica has expanded its home cinema lineup with the announcement of the Leica Cine Compact 1. It is a premium, plug-and-play mini projector designed to deliver a high-end cinema experience anywhere from living rooms to outdoor terraces.
Despite its highly portable footprint, the device uses state-of-the-art Triple RGB laser technology, a 0.47-inch DMD image chip, and a premium Leica Summicron zoom lens with aspherical elements to project razor-sharp 4K images up to 220 inches with a brightness of 1,700 lumens. To ensure pristine visual quality across different surfaces, the projector features Leica Image Optimization (LIOT™) technology alongside native Dolby Vision support for precise contrasts and fluid brightness transitions.

A standout feature of the Cine Compact 1 is its built-in 360-degree rotation system, allowing it to effortlessly project media onto walls, angled partitions, or ceilings without requiring a permanent screen setup. Physical configuration is entirely hands-off, thanks to an automated software suite that instantly handles autofocus, zoom, keystone correction, and intelligent screen framing. It also includes a standard tripod thread for ceiling mounting and offers an optional elegant dedicated stand.
On the smart and audio side, the projector runs on the VIDAA operating system for direct access to streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime, and integrates seamlessly into smart homes via Apple AirPlay, Apple HomeKit, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4. Its built-in speakers deliver immersive cinematic sound with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Virtual:X, which can also be paired wirelessly with external audio setups.

Embodying a durable, Bauhaus-style aluminium housing with an elegant glass front, the energy-efficient projector is built for longevity. Moving away from disposable packaging, Leica ships the device in a sustainable, fully recyclable EPP transport case for safe and convenient mobile storage.
The Leica Cine Compact 1 will be available in Singapore on June 18, 2026, for a recommended retail price of S$2,400.
