Feeling hot with Singapore’s “summer” coming? Sony has expanded its wearable cooling lineup with the launch of two new models in Singapore — the flagship REON POCKET PRO Plus and the more compact REON POCKET 6. Both devices continue Sony’s push into personal thermal management, offering on-demand cooling in a discreet, neck-worn form factor designed for tropical climates and daily commutes. While they share a common DNA, the two models target slightly different users — one prioritising maximum cooling performance, the other balancing power and portability in a slimmer package.
Both models debut Sony’s evolved cooling algorithm, promising up to a 2°C improvement in surface cooling under controlled conditions. They also adopt the new “Adaptive Hold Design” neckband, which improves flexibility and stability by increasing the diameter of the mechanical tubing inside the band. The result is a more secure and comfortable fit that tracks natural body movement — whether you’re walking between meetings or navigating a crowded MRT station.

Another shared upgrade is the redesigned adjustable Air Vent Cover. Unlike previous fixed designs, the vent can now extend, retract, and change angle to better accommodate different collar heights and clothing styles. It’s a subtle but practical change that enhances both cooling efficiency and discreet wearability.
Both kits also include the new REON POCKET TAG 2, a compact wearable sensor that measures ambient temperature and humidity. It’s about 18% smaller than its predecessor and now features a strap hole and carabiner attachment for flexible placement on bags or belt loops. The original REON POCKET TAG remains compatible with both devices for users who prefer the older clip-style attachment.

Positioned as the series’ new flagship, the REON POCKET PRO Plus is built for users who want the strongest cooling performance available in the lineup. Sony claims up to 20% higher cooling performance compared to the previous model when operating in SMART COOL mode, with surface temperature reductions of up to an additional 2°C under specific test conditions. The emphasis here is clear: this is the most powerful cooling experience in the REON POCKET series to date.
The neckband on the PRO Plus has also been engineered for increased holding force — approximately 40% stronger compared to the previous neckband design — helping the device maintain consistent contact with the skin during light activity. The REON POCKET PRO Plus retails at S$349 and is available now at Sony Stores and the Sony Store Online.

If the PRO Plus is about pushing performance boundaries, the REON POCKET 6 focuses on delivering strong cooling in a more compact body. It introduces a newly developed “Compact DUAL Thermo Module”, adopting the same dual-module architecture as the flagship. Two independent thermo modules operate alternately at varying intensities, extending the cooling sensation over time. Despite the performance bump — also rated at up to 2°C improvement under test conditions — the device maintains a body size similar to its predecessor (RNP-5).
The REON POCKET 6 also features direct on-device controls via side buttons, allowing users to power on/off, switch modes, and adjust temperature levels without reaching for their smartphone — a handy addition for quick adjustments on the go. With its light grey finish and rounded edges, the REON POCKET 6 leans into a minimal, unobtrusive aesthetic that blends easily into both business and casual attire. The REON POCKET 6 is priced at S$299 and available now at Sony Stores and the Sony Store Online.
